Our mission is to support and encourage a friendly and healthy approach to running for all students at UMBC. We provide an atmosphere in which runners of all abilities can meet with one another, pursue common goals, and simply enjoy running!
The UMBC Running Club has a great group of athletes all looking to better themselves, as well as the team. Here you can train without the pressure of a varsity sport and with the reward of hard work and determination. We have been established for the expressed purpose of promoting health and fitness to those who enjoy running. We welcome all levels of runners and are willing to work with you to reach your goals!
Feel free to join us for practice weekdays at 4:00pm in the RAC Lobby. No matter what your ability, there is a pace group for you. For more information about practice schedule and times, please visit our practice page. The UMBC Running Club is a NIRCA member. We compete in cross country races in the Fall semester and Track & Field events in the Spring. We also attend and compete in various scrimmages and road races throughout the year.
